2021 Architecture Masterprize

The 2021 Architecture Masterprize has just been announced, and for the second consecutive year, one of our 1st Class graduates in Interior Architecture & Design is on the list!
The jury, made up of over 60 top designers, architects, curators, and academics, awarded Kristine Midjaas Heisholt an Honourable Mention in Architectural Design.
The project selected is “Future of Experimental Retail”, which Kristine developed as her 3rd-year final project at Marbella Design Academy.
Kristine proposed a commercial space in the middle of the new port of Al-Thani in Marbella, offering a new shopping mall experience with unique outdoor landscapes.
The Plaza consists of 5 pavilions on the building’s roof. Each one is dedicated to one of the 5 human senses. All are flexible spaces that give different brands the opportunity to create unique retail experiences for the visitors.
