FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT ARE THE FEES?

The yearly tuition fee for the BA (Hons) validated programmes is 15.000€
**The fee is made up of a yearly tuition fee of 12.000€ and administration fee of 3.000€.

The yearly tuition fee for Master’s validated programmes is 18.000€
**The fee is made up of a yearly tuition fee of 14.000€ and administration fee of 4.000€.

The tuition fee for the Design Foundation Course is 4.000€

The tuition fee for the BA Starter Course is 7.500€
The tuition fee for the BA Progression Course is 7.500€

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

The Academy is located in the town of Monda, Malaga province, Southern Spain.

WHAT ARE THE APPLICATION DEADLINES?

You should apply as soon as possible in order to reserve a place. This place is only guaranteed once you formally register i.e. having paid towards the tuition fee.

CAN I PAY IN INSTALMENTS?

The Design Foundation Course fees (4.000€) should be paid in full prior to the start of the course.
For the BA (Hons) validated programmes, the 1st year fees must be paid in full (15.000€) prior to the start of the academic year. In the 2nd and the 3rd years, we accept payment in three instalments (Yearly total 15.000€) during the academic year. An initial minimum payment of 6.000€ secures your place.

DO YOU HAVE SCHOLARSHIPS?

As a private institution we are unable to provide fully funded scholarships. Alternatively, we do offer a financial aid programme.This programme is competitive and consists of a reduction in fees of 1.000€ for six successful applicants.
Many of our students are eligible for government grants for study overseas. Please check with your home country’s education authority for guidance.

CAN I TRANSFER FROM MY CURRENT UNIVERSITY TO MARBELLA DESIGN ACADEMY?

We do accept transfer students with a full year of like-for-like credits. Each case is reviewed individually, and applicants will be asked to send in transcripts and a portfolio after completing their academic year from their current studies.

IS THERE CAMPUS ACCOMMODATION?

Students rent privately with individual landlords. Students wishing to live locally in Monda may contact the local letting agent, Maria Luna, of Monda Propiedades via Whatsapp at +34 699 415 427.

CAN I TAKE THIS COURSE ONLINE?

The Design Foundation Course can be taken as an online live class or physically at the Academy.

All our other programmes require in-person attendance only.

DO YOU HAVE ANY OPEN DAYS?

You are most welcome to visit the Academy, Mon-Fri 1000-1500hrs (including Summer months). Please email us at info@designschool.com to schedule a visit.

DO YOU ACCEPT ERASMUS + EXCHANGE STUDENTS?

We do not participate in any exchange programmes.

IS THIS COURSE ACCREDITED?

Both our BA (Hons) and Master’s Validated programme are validated by our UK partner, the University of Bedfordshire.

Each academic year of the BA (Hons) validated programmes awards 120 UK core credits.

Our Master’s validated programme in Innovative Design awards 180 UK core credits.

DO YOU OFFER A MA?

Our new Master’s Validated Programme in Innovative Design was launched in October 2025.

DO I NEED A VISA?

Non-EU students require a visa to travel to Spain and study.

If you are a citizen of an EU country, you do not need a visa to enter Spain.
