Graphic Design & Media

Please note that in order to attend the BA Progression Course, you need to successfully complete the BA Startup Course.

MOD 3 – Design Projects
Put your skills into action with real design challenges. This module includes two substantial projects where you’ll integrate the knowledge from previous modules, applying visual communication principles, storytelling techniques, and professional workflows.

You’ll work on:
Developing strong visual language
Creating memorable and effective communication
Generating, testing, and refining ideas
Exploring cultural influences, identity, and global trends
Addressing contemporary design themes such as sustainability, technology, and social responsibility

You’ll also gain experience in managing multidisciplinary projects, developing soft skills such as communication, empathy, respect, and active listening. Learn how to work effectively in a professional team, manage group dynamics, and delegate roles to deliver cohesive, high-quality outcomes.

MOD 4 – Final Project 1
This is your chance to bring together everything you’ve learned in a complete, portfolio-worthy project. You’ll design, develop, and present a professional-level piece of work, demonstrating your creative process from concept to final output.
Possible project areas include:

Research and critical analysis essays on design theory
Layout systems for editorial design
Conceptual iconography and symbolism
Graphic composition and advertising models
Visual identity and branding
Artistic conceptualisation within design practice
Graphic production for promotional campaigns

Throughout this module, you’ll refine your production techniques and explore the ethical role of graphic design in shaping culture, giving you both the technical and conceptual tools to influence the world through your work.
