Usage of 2D (CAD) and 3D (3D Studio MAX) Computer Aided Design has become essential for all Designers within the professions of Architecture, Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Product and Furniture Design.
By producing your drawings using AutoCAD you can perform accurate professional computer drawings 2D – plans, elevations and sections of your project-idea and combined with 3D Studio MAX you can visual your project in 3 D, which is existential for a good understanding and communication of any project.
- AUTOCAD: You will be taught how to use all the main features of the AutoCAD programme. The course will cover all the essential tools that are commonly used and you will develop a hands-on knowledge of their application. At the end of this course the Students will have learned how to develop a project in plan, elevations and sections using AutoCAD.
- 3D STUDIO MAX: 3D Studio Max is a great 3D programme to master for all Designers or people interested in learning how to make professional 3D computer drawings. With 3D Studio MAX you can produce professional 3D computer drawings of your ideas – projects.
When you have learned to use the 3D Studio Max programme you can easily and effectively visualize your ideas to the client. Such as architectural project, interior architecture projects, product design projects, furniture design projects as well as any other ideas-projects you need to visualize from different angles for your client.
The students are welcome to bring a project of their own to be solved during the course.
PC Laptop (portable computer)
We recommend you to buy a Lap Top with sufficient RAM memory and a powerful graphic card. We also recommend a 13 to 15” screen.
Please make sure you get the programmes in the same format as your laptop (for example a Mac formatted program will not work on a PC).
- AutoCAD – latest version from Autodesk.
- 3D Studio Max – latest version from Autodesk. 3D Studio MAX is not compatible with MAC’s.
You can download a trial version which is valid for 3 months or you can as a student at the Academy buy a student version of the programme.
