1976 Educated Interior Architect at “Danmarks Design Skole”.
1977 to 1982 Employed Interior Architect at “Helsingor Skibs Vaerft”.
1982 to 1995 Self employed with own design company “Helle Byrn Design”
    • Designing: Furniture’s, interiors and industrial products,
    • Wrote articles about Scandinavian architecture.
    • Owner of international design Patents in 24 countries.
1988 Exhibited at the “International Female Inventor Exhibition” at
the ”Tecnical Museum” in Helsingoer –Denmark
January 1993. Moved to Marbella – Spain.
January 1993 to February 1995
    • Continued running the company “Helle Byrn Design” from Spain.
February 1995 Founded the Marbella Design Academy.
October 1995 The Marbella Design Academy opened its doors for the first students in a rented location in Marbella.
21st April 2003 The Ministry of Education - Junta de Andalucia approved: The building project for a big new building to be built to house the academy in the future and approved the State Recognised academic curriculum the Marbella Design Academy is following. Courses at University level - Tecnico Superior – Equivalent to Bachelors.
11 July 2007 Finally had obtained all licenses and permissions. The Marbella Design Academy started the construction of the new building for the academy. To be finished to the 1st of August 2008 ready for the academic year 2008 - 2009 starting the 17th of September 2008.

The new Academy building is finished and ready to recieve all our students for the next year starting 17th September 2008.

The Marbella Design Academy has developed to a top class academy offering courses at a very high academic level, which compete with the best design schools in the World and which educates the students to be at top with the latest computer technology.
Students are coming from all over the World to study at the Marbella Design Academy.
The employment rates of the students who have graduated are 95%.
The future plans? To improve even more and be the best!
