Daily 9.00 - 16.00, 6 hours plus 50min lunch break per day

Students come from all over the world to study at the Marbella Design Academy. They all share the same dream to become professional Fashion Designers. To reach this goal, the students have to possess a flair and passion for Fashion, be self-motivated and be ready to study and work hard.
After graduation, the possibilities are endless. The students can be employed or self-employed, work from home and even build a Fashion Empire. It is up to the individual student to embrace this opportunity.
The students are stimulated to think BIG, that everything is possible. Only the student's imagination creates the limit.
It is important that students learn how to be disciplined and how to meet the marked demands. It takes it all to get there – 100% dedication.
Students quickly learn that it is all a matter of how much passion you put into the subject. The more passion put into their work will give more fun and success to the student in return, which in reality counts for everything in life.

The Marbella Design Academy is following the State Recognised, two year programme in Fashion Design from the Ministry of Education. It is a great programme covering all of the subjects needed for the students to succeed in the real World.
Marbella Design Academy - Costa del Sol sl. was founded in 1995 and has, with 14 years of experience, developed into one of the best top level modern Design Academies in the World.

Friendly environment. Tuition in a positive, supporting and friendly atmosphere is an absolute must for us. All the students work in an environment, which encourages original solutions to the projects presented. Individual guidance is given to help students achieve this goal. The Marbella Design Academy offers the students a good and personal tuition. Both lectures are in groups and one to one tuition with the teachers.
Many Student Grants departments in Europe have approved Grants to students studying at the Marbella Design Academy. Many student loan offices have approved grants to our students. For example the Marbella Design Academy is the only design school in Spain, where the Danish and Swedish students can obtain grants to study from their home government, SU in Denmark and CSN in Sweden. Other students are recommended to check with the Student Grant office in their home country. If a student cannot obtain a grant to study at our Academy, then you will be pleased to know that we are keeping the yearly tuition fee as low as possible. Furthermore the Marbella Design Academy has an Academic level that competes with the best design schools in the World.
It can be difficult to choose which course/profession to study; we therefore give all new students the option, within the first two months, to change to one of our other courses.
Students live mainly in rented apartments or houses in Monda, only 2 to 5 mins walk away from the Academy or in Marbella, (15km.)
There is plenty of furnished accommodation to chose from, at all price levels. The prices in Marbella are from 300Euros for a room to 600Euros and above for an apartment. It is even cheaper to find accommodation in Monda. The Academy recommends that all new students consider living in Monda where they can rent a 2 bedroom apartment for 400Euros or a 4 to 5 bedroom fully furnished house in the village for only 400 to 600Euros a month.
The Academy can help students find suitable accommodation and organise students wishing to share houses or apartments.

Quick Facts about South of Spain
Living in Marbella or Monda is relatively inexpensive compared to most European cities.
Marbella is an international jet-set town, home to many of the world's rich and famous.
Here you can go shopping and find everything you might need.
Monda is a typically authentic white Spanish village in the mountains, only 15min away from busy Marbella. In Monda you will quickly become a familiar figure as everybody knows each other! Monda is safe, far from boring and has many squares, restaurants and bars. Monda is a traditional village with a hectic village life and your money lasts longer here. You pay, for example, only 1Euro for a drink in a bar/restaurant in Monda.
Southern Spain has the best weather in Europe with more than 330 warm and sunny days a year.
Many cultural sites are within a short distance from the Academy such as Seville, Grenada, Jerez, Cadiz and several other towns.
You can reach the beach in Marbella within 20min, and the beautiful surf beaches of the Atlantic Coastline within 1.5 hours. If you enjoy Snowboarding and Skiing, you can be in the snow of Sierra Nevada within 2 hours.
Jobs
Most students have found work which they fit around their study hours. All of our students who want to work have found jobs in the Marbella area. Many companies contact the Academy with job offers for the 2nd/3rd year and graduate students. The Academy recommends that first year students wait until their skills have been developed to a medium professional level in the second year of study before searching for paid employment within their respective fields.
Spanish for Beginners
The Marbella Design Academy also offers a 50 hour beginner's course in Spanish. The classes will take place at the Academy every Monday and Wednesday from 16.30 to 18.00. The teacher is Spanish and is a fully qualified Spanish teacher. The cost for the entire course including book and photocopies is 500Euros. The Students will, at the end of the course, be able to communicate with the local Spanish people. The Academy recommends this course to all new foreign students. Learning Spanish is a lifetime investment and much easier to learn when located in Spain.
Design Show and Student Exhibition
Each year the Marbella Design Academy holds a Student Exhibition/Design Show. The Students Exhibition and Design Show will be held in the Marbella Design Academy's new stunning location at Camino Hoyanca in Monda. The previous exhibitions have been a great success. The students work is judged by the press and media as well as by industry professionals. The standard of the students work is extremely high and the students are often head-hunted by local and International companies.
