Dear New International Student (NON
European only) Academic Year 2008-2009
To enter Spain you need a student
visa. This you will get by
contacting the nearest Spanish embassy
or consulate from your hometown. As soon
as you have paid your tuition fee and
are a registered student we recommend
you to call the embassy or consulate for
a visit.
To obtain your student visa you
need to bring: (make 3 photo copies of
everything)
• Copy of your passport,
• 3 pass photos
• A confirming letter from the Academy
that you have been accepted as a Guest
student (6 months) or a full time
student from September 17th 2008. (The
letter will be sent to you as a scanned
in original document via email)
• A test from your doctor that you are
in good health, Etc
• A medical insurance (Do you not have

To open a bank account: The following
have to be send by fax or email (the
documents scanned in

• The Consulate also requires a paid
reservation for either a hostel (minimum 1 to 2
weeks) or a rental contract for a house / apartment.
Please email Isa in advance on ileo_ma@hotmail.com to make a reservation for a rental of a house or an apartment in Monda, or contact one of the
Hostels in Marbella on this list and make a
reservation.
You can pay for 1 or 2 weeks by Credit
Card.
The Hostel will then send you a receipt
by fax or email proving that you have
reserved and
paid for a room at their Hostel. Please
see the list of Hostels send to you via
email.
With this you will get your residence
students visa. It sounds more
complicated than it is.
Take care that you contact the Spanish
Embassy or Consulate in your hometown in
time.
It is a good idea to give the Embassy or
Consulate a call to ensure that you have
everything needed with you when you
visit them and please call them for a
visit as soon as you have paid
